I had a pretty strong idea of what I wanted to do this year’s 7DRL a couple weeks before the challenge. I was going to create a game based on The Mandalorian, but set in a Fantasy world, and I was going to use the ExpeditionX engine (the thing that powers NovaMundi) as well as a lot of preexisting art for it.

In the last moment, two days before the challenge, I decided to scrap the idea because of scope and commercial risks with the upcoming Early Access release of NovaMundi. So I was left in the void.
During the first two days of the 9 days time window of the challenge, I tried to come up with something that would be doable, interesting and fun to work on. I toyed around with creating a spectator-sport, a battle arena with AI enemies using roguenet‘s infrastructure, where players could follow the development of gladiatorial leagues, and witness grand events. I was about to go for it, but again decided to scrap it due to scope.
So I’m working on the other idea I had, which actually is not fully developed yet (we will see where the development takes us).
You are trapped in your house, it’s a rainy day.
